Our Mission
Downtown Tiffin is a division of the Seneca County Collaborative, a county-wide organization dedicated to business development, economic growth, and community vitality. As one of Ohio’s top-performing Main Street programs, Downtown Tiffin focuses on historic preservation, place-based investment, and creating a thriving center of activity for residents, visitors, and entrepreneurs.
Our mission is to strengthen the heart of Tiffin through reinvestment, small business support, public space activation, and events that highlight the character of our historic district.
What We Do
Business Enhancement
Strengthens the economic base of downtown by supporting existing businesses, recruiting new ones, and encouraging a balanced mix of uses. Focuses on filling vacant spaces, increasing competitiveness, and creating opportunities for growth.
Design
Improves downtown’s physical appearance, from building façades and signage to streetlights, sidewalks, landscaping, and public spaces. Enhances the overall visual impression and communicates what Downtown Tiffin has to offer.
Downtown Development
Guides both short-term projects and long-term planning to keep Downtown Tiffin’s vision and mission on track. Works with the Main Street Manager to maintain full Main Street accreditation and ensure the program’s overall success.
Marketing
Highlights downtown’s unique character to shoppers, visitors, investors, and businesses. Builds a positive image through events, campaigns, and promotions that draw people in and activate downtown as a vibrant community space.

Tiffin’s public‑private collaboration, active committees, and strong partners have created measurable results. The community continues to invest in building rehabilitation, new storefronts, and upper‑floor reuse, while signature events draw visitors and increase sales.
How We Help Businesses
Open or expand downtown with local guidance. We connect you to spaces and owners, explain review processes, and outline available programs. From CRA and façade grants to financing options, we help businesses navigate next steps and get to “yes.”
Once you are open, we promote your story, include you in itineraries, and plug you into merchant communications.

Our program operates in collaboration with the City of Tiffin and Seneca County, and as a proud member of Heritage Ohio and Main Street America. Together we preserve historic character, support businesses, and invite more people downtown.
